Smart home things
There are a number of Google Nest speakers in the apartment (both bedrooms, and the living room/kitchen area). You can use the following example voice commands to control devices:
The rooms are identified as such in Google Home:
"Living room" is the living room and kitchen area
"Main bedroom" is the large bedroom on the right, with the ensuite
"Second bedroom" is the smaller bedroom on the left
Just saying "Hey Google, turn off the lights" may well turn off all of the lights in the house, so make sure you include the room name. For some reason Google doesn't seem to understand the idea of room localisation yet…
Automated lighting
Some of the lights in the house are automated, for instance the hallway light will turn on when motion is detected in it. All of the lights will automatically adapt to the time of day, being cooler and brighter during the day, and dimmer and warmer in the evening.
If a light is adjusted (brightness or colour) after being turned on, it will no longer automatically adjust to the time of day. Turning it off and on will reset this and re-enable this feature.
